The Streak

How fitting the Kansas Jayhawks streak of 14 straight big 12 titles was ended in a half empty gym. First, yes extremely impression and will most likely never be broken. It seems half the so called fan base has jumped of the winning bandwagon, though that happened when the team lost to Arizona St in non conference. The true signs of the wait till basketball season Ku fans finally showed their ugly face. This should come to no surprise as if anyone has noticed the last few months, less people are wearing ku gear around town. Now there are still some good Kansas basketball/football fans, but don't get mad at everyone else for enjoying this. It is your own bandwagon fan base you have to blame. At least true ku fans if anyone do not have to bury their clothes or return them to Wal-Mart. The fans who say we will never play Mizzou because they left the conference, go back and look at some non con KU schedules. Names like Colorado, Nebraska, Texas A&M will appear. But can we blame them?
They are just following the words of Bill Self. Their team is 22-8 and going to finish 3rd in the big 12 and they think kwho is awful. Welcome to the real bleeping world of collegr basketball. These are the same fans who say they know everything about college basketball. But they couldn't tell you when they watched a non ku game. Of course they are the same fans who get angry at you for not routing for them when they play non con or ncaa tournament games. I have said for years if ku went two straight years without winning the big 12, that third they would not sell out in most non con games.
We shall see what happens in the years to come........ But be ready, the shirts will start to pop up again if they make the sweet 16.
